Kali Uchis arrives at Cali 93.9 studios with Caro Marquez to promote her new album ‘Red Moon In Venus’. 

Kali Uchis is a Colombian-American singer-songwriter. She explains that she loves to do what other artists aren’t doing. “When there is a trend, or something that seems very of the moment, I always like to do the opposite.” Which is why she felt that  her song ‘I Wish You Roses’ was a great single to lead with for the album. 

As she has a jazz background, Kali Uchis believes that soul and “oldies style music” will always hold a special place in her heart. Yet, she also claims that she is versatile and capable of surprising everyone.

Kali Uchis explains how she started making music on her own, in her room. Not with the intention of breaking into the music business.. “I just love to be able to do what I want, I don’t limit myself… I don’t let anyone tell me what to do, or who to be or what to make”.
